The Sr Manager, Echo MS Excellence Team, has responsibility for delivering superior quality and on-time delivery of demo and workflow development projects.    Managing a team of talented engineers and scientists, you utilize daily management fundamentals along with a keen awareness of demand/market trends and the scientific applications of interest to our customers.   In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the proper execution of the project schedule, maintaining control of project costs and inventory, and ensuring a proper workload is distributed among the team. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in formulating and carrying out company policies, objectives, and programs for the Echo MS Excellence team.
  • Monitor project execution and adjust workload based on production goals
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the tactical day-to-day activities to ensure projects are started, executed, and completed to satisfaction of the customer.
  • Set up standards of performance, training, check progress, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Actively participate in cross functional cost reduction efforts; continuously control conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.
  • Develop and motivate the Engineers and Scientists on the team to seek alternatives and improvements to production processes.
  • Maintain associate engagement, safety and morale.
  • Establish and lead communication meetings with direct reports, as well as with the greater value stream team on a routine basis.
  • Create annual objectives and development plans for direct reports, establish feedback loops, and perform annual reviews.

Education and Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Biological Sciences, preferably advanced degree. PMP preferred.
  • Three or more years of leadership / management experience within Bio Pharma, Life Sciences industry. Strong ability to communicate and lead teams in scientific, laboratory, and highly technical environments
  • Strong scientific background and understanding of Mass Spectrometry use and value to the drug discovery process especially HTS.
  • Five or more years’ experience in a customer facing role with demonstrated success in managing multiple activities/projects, and priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth, results-driven environment
  • Hands on manager, capable of helping and developing team resources, project plans and experiments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to work onsite in Framingham / greater Boston area.
